Engineered Drawings
Engineered drawings can help simplify the permitting process for certain standard sign installations. Learn what drawings are available, how they can be used and where to purchase them.
What are they?
SAC provides engineer-stamped drawings for certain standard sign types and jurisdictions. Where applicable, these drawings can be submitted as part of a sign permit application, eliminating the need to obtain a project-specific engineered drawing for the covered installation.
What’s the advantage to me?
Time and cost. For installations covered by the available drawings, purchasing an existing engineer-stamped drawing can reduce the time and cost associated with obtaining a project-specific engineered drawing.
How do I buy them?
Available engineered drawings
- Winnipeg: Purchase engineered drawings online through the Sign Association of Canada.
- Atlantic Provinces: Purchase engineered drawings online through the Sign Association of Canada.
- Edmonton: Purchase engineered drawings online through the Alberta Sign Association website.
Before purchasing a drawing
Confirm that the drawing applies to your sign type, installation and jurisdiction. Projects that fall outside the specifications of the available drawings may require review and stamped drawings from a qualified engineer.
Don’t see your jurisdiction?
Engineered drawings are available only for specific jurisdictions and sign types. Contact SAC at info@sac-ace.ca to confirm whether a drawing is available for your project.
