Sign company owners need to be up-to-date regarding the latest Working at Heights regulations. Regardless of the province in which they operate, all Canadian companies must provide workers who perform their duties at a height of 3 metres (10 feet) or more with Working at Heights / Fall Protection training.  Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must also be provided to workers. In Ontario, workers who are involved in Construction projects (which would include many sign industry related tasks), are required to undergo a program which has been approved by the Chief Prevention Officer.  Working at Heights trainers must also be approved by the CPO. In provinces outside of Ontario, online training is an alternative to the instructor-led programs, which are required by Ontario labour law.
