Saskatoon Implements New Sign Regulation Changes

The City of Saskatoon has moved forward with important updates to its sign regulations. On June 25, 2025, City Council approved changes that now require permits for wall signs in Sign Groups 4 and 5.

While the City transitions its systems, applicants must temporarily submit paper applications for these permits. Sign Permit Application 2024.pdf

At the same time, Saskatoon has launched its new ePermitting system, allowing sign permits to be applied for online for most signs. Through this portal, applicants can submit applications, track progress, pay fees, and request inspections digitally.

How to get started with ePermitting:

  • Visit saskatoon.ca/ePermitting to register or log in.
  • Review user guides on creating an account, applying for a permit, and paying fees.
  • Submit your application and manage the process online.

For assistance, members can email signpermits@saskatoon.ca or call 306-657-8766 for support. The Sign Association of Canada encourages members working in Saskatoon to review these changes carefully, as they may impact future projects.
