With the towering beauty of Vancouver’s North Shore Mountains serving as a backdrop, Mayfair Lakes in Richmond is a genuine golf sanctuary, offering year-round golf in a secluded country ambiance that’s just minutes from Vancouver. The intrigue lies in the abundance of lakes and waterways that come into play on 13 of the 18 holes, adding as much challenge as aesthetic appeal to the course.

Local Rules (Golf Canada Rules govern all play)

  • Out-of-bounds: driving range, parking lot and boundaries as defined by white stakes or perimeter fences. Rule 27. Penalty stroke and distance.
  • Water hazards – defined by red stakes. All water hazards are lateral water hazards. Railway ties are considered within the hazard. Rule 26.
  • Power lines: ball striking power lines must be replayed. No penalty.
  • Obstructions: flowerbeds, sprinkler heads, control boxes, driving range net, poles and guidelines interfering with swing or stance. Rule 24. Free drop.
  • Greens: double green margins are defined by yellow post. All balls must be dropped from foreign greens. Rule 25-3. No penalty.

Etiquette
To keep golf at Mayfair Lakes a pleasurable experience for all we ask you to please follow these rules:

  • Please replace divots, repair ball marks on greens and rake sand traps.
  • Pull carts and power carts are not permitted on tees or beyond lines marked in front of greens. All traffic in and around greens should follow cart paths or other designated routes.
  • Please try to keep up to the group ahead of you. Slower players must allow faster players to play through.
  • Our Dress Code is “golf casual”. We want you to feel comfortable in your attire as you play golf. But please, no tank-tops, sweat pants or cut-offs.
