Large Format Printing Operator & Prepress
Pay: Starting at CA$27.00/hour, CA$35.00+/hour based on experience.
Galaxie Signs is seeking an experienced Large Format Printing Operator & Prepress to join our production team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare print-ready production files
- Operate HP Latex, Mimaki UV flatbed, roll-to-roll printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, and Onyx/Flexi RIP software
- Produce vinyl graphics, ADA/tactile and layered signage, and wayfinding signage
- Print, weed, laminate, and prepare graphics for installation
- Read shop drawings, perform machine maintenance, and maintain color accuracy
Requirements
- 3+ years of sign shop or large-format printing experience
- Hands-on experience with HP Latex, Mimaki UV flatbed, Onyx/Flexi, and large-format prepress
- Strong knowledge of vinyl production, substrates, cast/calendared/specialty films, and signage production methods
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, file preparation, and color management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple production projects
Preferred Skills
- Experience with wayfinding systems and large-scale signage projects
- Knowledge of substrates such as acrylic, aluminum, and composites
- Experience producing window, wall, and vehicle graphics
