Engineered Drawings

The Atlantic Provinces Chapter offers engineered drawings for specific sign installations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. These drawings are available for purchase by SAC members. Embossed seals are also available for annual purchase.

Electrical Certificate Training Program for Sign Service/Installation Technicians

The Atlantic Provinces Chapter developed the Electrical Certificate Training Program (ECTP) in collaboration with the Alberta Sign Association to provide safety education and technical training for Sign Service/Installation Technicians.

Participants who successfully complete the approved technical training may qualify for accreditation from the Province of New Brunswick.

The training allows an SSIT-certified technician to perform certain work on the electrical components of a sign, subject to applicable limitations.

The Atlantic Provinces Chapter offers an online component of the ECTP followed by a full-day, in-person session. The in-person session includes hands-on labs and a final examination.

NSCC Sponsor a Student Program

The Atlantic Provinces Chapter participates in NSCC’s Sponsor-a-Student program, providing students with financial support and opportunities for on-the-job training. The initiative helps students explore career opportunities in the sign industry while supporting the development of the industry’s future workforce.
